Shipping & Receiving Production Associate

In the shipping & receiving role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day incoming and outgoing tasks. Ensuring shipments go out on time to meet deadlines at the lowest cost to Trending Now Promotions. On the webstore production side of this role, you will be responsible for accurately bagging and completing webstores on time in a fast paced environment. Production duties including pre production stacking and heat press as needed in this position. This team player keeps a high level of quality and attention to detail in every single order and a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive all incoming shipments ensuring backup is notified if fulfillment is too busy to process receiving
• Reconcile discrepancies in receiving with purchasing and the production manager
• Manage the shipment of all outgoing orders
• Continually research and provide feedback on the best and most cost effective shipping systems
• Enter tracking information into OMG or on work orders document tracking and shipping costs
• Maintain a clean and neat shipping and packaging area
• Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
• Track and maintain stock of boxes and all shipping supplies
• Collaborate and communicate with Bookkeeping and the Production Manager in regards to packing slips and to ensure web stores are ready on time for post production
• Bag and process webstores while following quality control standards put in place
• Communicate webstore backorders with Production Manager and file work orders
• Assist with clipping and cleaning of webstores garments
• Consolidate webstore “Ready for Pickup” area multiple times a week
• Cut personalization on the Roland for web stores and regular orders and operate heat press as needed
• Stack webstores preproduction and regular orders as needed
• Additional projects as assigned by management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for an extended period of time, bend, kneel, reach, twist, and frequent lifting (occasionally up to 40lbs)
• Frequent use of hands and fingers and the need to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to work in a minimal air-conditioned shop with fans

Mandatory Skills

• Ability to accurately follow standard operating procedures with minimal direction
• Able to efficiently work at a fast speed in a fast-paced setting and meet quality control standards established
• Strong documentation skills, accuracy, and attention-to-detail necessary
• Proven ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently
• Communicate with team members in a positive manner
• Follow instructions with eagerness to learn more and be a value member

Education and Experience

• Experience in a shipping and fulfillment are preferred but not required
• High school diploma or GED certificate
