The Village of Waunakee is seeking a full-time Public Works Crew Member in the Parks and Streets Division. Candidates will work in a team environment and be responsible for work related to municipal streets, stormwater utilities, recycling operations, maintenance of municipal buildings and grounds, turf maintenance, and landscaping, and must be capable of performing strenuous physical work. Prefer some working knowledge and capabilities including a commercial driver's license (CDL) and heavy equipment and snowplowing experience. Candidates are subject to a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Assistance in obtaining a CDL may be provided for well-qualified candidates without a CDL upon hire.
The 2026 authorized starting wage range is $27.13 to $28.51 per hour, DOQ plus a competitive benefits package. The top wage rate in pay grade is $34.75 per hour but requires additional approval to hire above the authorized starting range.
