Job Description: Shift Leader


Overview:


Shift Leaders play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, coaching team members, and delivering excellent guest service. They set goals, assign tasks, and provide real-time feedback to maintain Dunkin’ brand standards.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform all duties of a Restaurant Team Member
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational goals
  • Ensure brand standards, food preparation, and service quality are met
  • Communicate shift priorities, goals, and results to the team
  • Create and execute shift deployment plans for efficient workflow
  • Coach and provide constructive and clear feedback to team members
  •  Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
  • Support the training of restaurant team members as needed
  • Oversee franchisee safety, security, and profitability policies/processes throughout a shift
  • Ensure a smooth transition by briefing the next Shift Leader
  • Uphold food safety and inventory management standard
  • Deliver outstanding guest service and coach team members to do the same
  • Handle customer concerns, conflicts, and emergencies with professionalism
  • Manage cash over/short during shift and ensure restaurant team members are following cash franchiseemanagement policies
  • Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.


Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Previous leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality preferred.
