Job Description: General Manager


Overview


The Restaurant Manager provides strong, positive leadership to ensure exceptional guest experience, operational excellence, and profitable top-line sales. They oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s operations in alignment with Dunkin’ standards, franchisee policies, and applicable laws.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties of Restaurant Team Members
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all restaurant team members, including Shift Leaders, Bakers, and support staff
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, providing coaching, and resolving conflicts
  • Implement and oversee training programs to enhance team performance
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, a strong work ethic, and adherence to company values
  • Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing, cash management, inventory control, and adherence to brand standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Build and maintain a guest-focused culture, reviewing feedback and implementing action plans for improvement 
  • Develop strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and address guest concerns effectively
  • Manage food and labor costs, inventory levels, and waste to maximize profitability
  • Engage with the local community and explore partnership opportunities
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify business opportunities
  • Communicate priorities, goals, and performance results to the team
  • Oversee new product rollouts, marketing initiatives, and in-store promotions
  • Manage vendor orders to ensure sufficient stock of all products
  • Conduct self-assessments and implement corrective action plans for food safety and brand compliance
  • Ensure the restaurant meets budget expectations set by the franchisee

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Previous leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Works well with others in a fun, fast-paced team environment
