Job Summary:

Endres Manufacturing is looking for a Structural Estimator who can own material takeoffs, collaborate across departments, and help us deliver high quality, well structured bids. You will work closely with engineering, detailing, project management, and trusted vendors while contributing to a strong, team focused estimating process.
What you will do:
• Review drawings and bid documents
• Perform takeoffs and quantity calculations
• Create estimate worksheets and pricing summaries
• Work directly with vendors to gather pricing
• Identify scope gaps and constructability concerns
• Support internal bid reviews and help maintain estimating schedules
• Participate in post bid reviews and process improvements
• Stay current on steel pricing and market trends
What you bring:
• Experience estimating structural steel or miscellaneous metals
• Strong ability to read drawings and understand fabrication and erection processes
• Familiarity with AISC standards
• Experience with tools like Tekla EPM, FabSuite or Strumis, or Bluebeam
• Strong math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids
• Collaborative communication style and the desire to support team success
• Two to five years of relevant experience. A related degree is a plus.
• Field, fabrication, or detailing experience is a bonus

Experience and skills we are looking for:
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in structural steel estimating, fabrication, or construction
• Proficiency in structural steel estimating, including takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation
• Strong ability to interpret structural drawings, connection details, and specifications
• Understanding of steel fabrication processes, erection methods, coatings, and industry standards
• Experience using estimating tools such as Tekla EPM, FabSuite or Strumis, and Bluebeam
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem solving abilities
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
