We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our team. This role supports our fabrication operations by welding and assembling structural steel components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Location: Waunakee, WI

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of welding processes on structural steel, sheet metal, and pipe components.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble steel components per blueprints and weld symbols.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and industry standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment including press brakes, saws, drills, and grinders.
• Measure and inspect work using tape measures, calipers, squares, and levels to ensure accuracy.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of structural steel welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication processes including cutting, fitting, and prep.
• Proficient with measurement tools and basic math.
• Familiarity with fabrication equipment and shop tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, squatting, and lifting.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Regular use of hand tools, grinders, and welding equipment.
