We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across our manufacturing facility. This role will report to the Maintenance and Facility Supervisor and is responsible for preventive maintenance, equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, diagnostics, and supporting special projects to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.

Location: Waunakee, WI

Shift: 1st shift; 6:00AM - 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance on production machinery, including welding stations and fabrication equipment.
  • Diagnose issues and complete assigned mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Calibrate welding equipment, verify output settings, and ensure machines meet production and quality requirements.
  • Select, source, and purchase materials and parts for maintenance projects.
  • Maintain an orderly, well-stocked maintenance shop.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot machinery, tools, and facility systems.
  • Inspect, and troubleshoot facility infrastructure systems, building and facility grounds.
  • Quickly resolve maintenance issues to minimize downtime and operational delays.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Work with facility expansions, equipment moves, and new machinery installations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED required; technical degree, vocational training, or maintenance apprenticeship preferred.
  • Relevant experience in industrial, manufacturing, or structural steel environments is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, automated systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Solid understanding of planning, organizing, and directing maintenance and repair activities.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to inspect work areas, evaluate equipment, and provide safety training to prevent hazards.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Skilled in diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, and stoop as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and work in tight or awkward spaces.
  • Ability to climb in, out, and around equipment and perform overhead work.
  • Must wear required PPE as needed.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.
