About the Role
As a Marketing and Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals and families choose the right insurance protection—primarily home, auto, umbrella, and life insurance. You’ll exclusively represent American Family Insurance and be working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment where proactive communication is essential.
This is an in-office position located in DeForest or Waunakee, Wisconsin.
What You’ll Do
- Build relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and recommend personalized coverage solutions.
- Sell and cross-sell American Family personal lines products (home, auto, umbrella, life).
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure clients are properly protected.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, prospects, and teammates.
- Manage leads, follow up consistently, and maintain an organized sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with the team to reach agency goals and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Stay up-to-date on product offerings, underwriting guidelines, and compliance expectations.
What We’re Looking For

- A positive attitude and professional presence.
- Sales experience is a plus, especially in insurance or financial services (but we’re willing to train the right person).
- Ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life insurance licenses (or currently licensed).
